Description
For sample persons aged 18 and older who have been told by a doctor that they have diabetes and have had an eye exam in which their pupils were dilated during the past 2 years (in 1989) and for sample persons age 18 and older who have had an eye exam performed by a medical doctor in the past 2 years (in 1991), EYEXAMD12MO reports whether the respondent had any kind of eye exam by a medical doctor in the past 12 months.

- 1989: Persons age 18+ who have ever been told by a doctor that they have diabetes and who had an eye exam with dilated pupils in the past 13 to 24 months.
- 1991: Sample persons age 18+ who had an eye exam by an M.D. in the past 2 years.
