Description

For sample adults who wear eyeglasses or contact lenses, this variable indicates whether persons need the glasses or contacts to read, write, or "do other things that require you to see well up close, such as cooking, sewing or fixing things."

This variable is included in the Sample Adult Vision Supplement, sponsored by the National Eye Institute.
