Description
For female sample adults, FCHANCL reports the extent to which the woman thought the chance of survival for colon or rectal cancer was, if it was detected early. Women were handed a card and could pick good, fair, poor or they didn't know.
FCHANCL was part of a series of variables in the 1992 cancer control supplement. For related variables, please use the IPUMS NHIS search function and drop-down menus.
Universe
- 1992: Half of female sample persons age 18+ in quarters 1 and 2, and in 2 weeks of quarter 3 (excluded from CAEP supplement).
