Description
For sample adults who have traveled outside of the United States, Canada, or Europe in the past 5 years and took medication to prevent malaria for the trip (T5MALP), T5MALPOTH reports if the respondent took some medication other than Aralen, Doxycycline, Fansidar, Lariam, Paludrine, or Plaquenil.

Universe
- 1991: Sample persons age 18+ who traveled outside of the U.S. or Canada in the past 5 years, who did not only travel to Europe, and who took medicine before trip(s) to prevent malaria.
