Description

For respondents age 18 who have used snuff 20 times and who use snuff now, this variable indicates if the respondent uses snuff not at all (IPUMS NHIS recode of "1") or some days (IHIS recode "2").

 

The term "snuff" was respondent-defined.

Comparability

This variable is only available for 1991.

Universe

  • 1991: Sample persons age 18+ who ever used snuff 20 times and who do not use snuff now.
