Description

For sample persons age 18 and older who ever had an ulcer and ever saw a doctor for the ulcer, ULCTESTUPGI indicates if she/he ever had an upper GI series to help diagnose his/her ulcer. Interviewers were instructed to read the following, if necessary: "For an upper GI series you drink a chalky white liquid called barium, and then X-rays are taken."
