Description

For all persons, PODCOFOOT indicates whether the respondent reported that anyone in the family had any foot problem other than an ingrown toenail, a foot infection, corns or calluses, flat feet or fallen arches, clubfoot, deformities of the toe or joint, bunions, an injury, or arthritis of the toes.

PODCOFOOT is part of the NHIS Podiatry Supplement, introduced in 1990. The purpose of this supplement is to obtain current data concerning problems with the feet, access to foot care, and the amount, frequency, and type of foot care obtained.
