Description

For sample adults aged 55 and older in 1984, all persons aged 65 and older in 1991, and, beginning in 2016, sample adults who did not have a balance or dizziness problem in the past 12 months and did not have at least one symptom of a balance or dizziness problem in the past 12 months, FELYR reports whether or not the person fell in the past 12 months.

Changes in the universe affect comparability over time.

Universe

  • 1984: Sample persons age 55+
  • 1991: Persons age 65+.
  • 2016: Sample adults 18+ who did not have a balance or dizziness problem in the past 12 months and did not have at least one symptom in the past 12 months.
