Description

For sample persons under 18, this variable indicates if the sample child ever any other kind of respiratory allergy, other than hay fever (HAYFEVEREV). The inquiry did not require a diagnosis by a medical doctor or health professional. A definition of "any other kind..." was not provided in the Field Representative's Manual and the condition was respondent defined.

This variable was part of a series of questions on child health conditions in the 1988 Supplement on Child Health.
