Description
For sample adults who had an exam for oral cancer (CORALEXAMEV) in the previous three years, CORALEXTP reports the type of time units since the respondent's last oral cancer exam. This variable is accompanied by CORALEXNO, which reports the number of time units that the time period type in the present variable is coded for.
If respondents responded to this question with a fraction answer (e.g. 2 and 1/2 months ago), the Field Representative's Manual directed interviewers to, "Enter the fraction on the line provided and mark the appropriate timebox."

Universe
- 1992: Half of sample persons age 18+ in quarters 1 and 2, and in 2 weeks of quarter 3 (excluded from CAEP supplement) who ever had or think they had a test for oral cancer and whose month and year of last test was unknown.
