For respondents who read any brochures or pamphlets about AIDS, AIDBROGOV indicates if respondents received the brochure from the federal, state, or local government.

Comparability

This variable is available for 1988 and 1989 only. There are no comparability issues between these years.

Universe

  • 1988: Sample persons age 18+ in quarters 2 through 4 who ever read any brochures or pamphlets about AIDS.
  • 1989: Sample persons age 18+ who ever read any brochures or pamphlets about AIDS.
