Description
For sample female adults aged 30 and older (40 and older in 2000), RALOXIFN reports whether the respondent was currently taking Raloxifene, also known as Evista, at the time of the survey.
RALOXIFN was first introduced in 2000 as part of a series of questions on adult cancer.
Comparability
Changes in the universe affect comparability over time. In 2000, this question was asked of sample female adults age 40 and older. Beginning in 2005, it was asked of sample female adults age 30 and older. (See Universe Tab for details.) This variable is comparable for 2005-forward, but researchers should use caution in making comparisons between 2000 and later years.
