For sample persons age 17 to 64 who ever gave or sold blood to a blood bank, hospital, Red Cross, or anywhere else (BLOODGAVEV), BLOODTOTR is a recode of responses reporting how many times the sample person has ever given or sold blood. Possible responses were "Never", "1 time", "2-4 times", "5-9 times", "10-19 times", "20 times or more", "Unknown number", and "Unknown if ever donated".
