Description
For sample children under 2 who were ever fed with a bottle (not including bottles with plain water) (BOTFEDEV) and sample children age 2 to 5 who were still fed with a bottle (not including bottles with plain water) (BOTFEDNOW), BOTFEDAY reports answers to the question, "During the past 2 weeks, on how many days was [child] put to bed with a bottle at bedtime or naptime? Do not include bottles with plain water."
In 1991, these questions on bottle-feeding were part of the sample child questionnaire; in 1998, they were in the sample child Preventive Health Module related to "dental health in children."
Universe
- 1991: Sample persons age 6 months to 1 year who ever used a bottle and sample persons age 2 to 5 who ever used a bottle and still use a bottle.
- 1998: Sample children under age 2 who were bottle fed and sample children age 2 to 5 who still used a feeding bottle.
