Description
KIDNYSTONYR identifies sample adults who had been diagnosed with kidney stones by a doctor or other health professional during the past 12 months.
For 1997 forward, KIDNEYWKYR identifies sample adults diagnosed during the past 12 months with weak or failing kidneys (excluding kidney stones, frequent or slow urination, or infections). In 2002, sample adults who had ever been told that by a doctor or other health professional that they had urinary problems (such as incontinence, frequent or slow urination, or infections) were identified (URINPROBEV). Those identified as ever having such urinary problems were asked whether they had such problems during the past 12 months (URINPROBYR).
