Description
For sample children who ever had their vision tested by a doctor or other health professional (EYEXAMEV), EYEXAMOS reports the number of months since the sample child had their vision tested. Please see the Universe tab for changes in universe over time.
Comparability
Please see the Universe tab for changes in universe over time; this may affect comparability. Also note that before 2023, the questionnaire stated answer choices in terms of months, whereas in 2023 answer choices were stated in terms of years. See the Survey Text tab for details.

Universe
- 2002: Sample children age 6+ who ever had their vision tested by a doctor or other health professional.
- 2008; 2016; 2017: Sample children under 6 who ever had vision tested by a doctor or other health professional.
- 2023: Sample children age 0-17 who ever had their vision tested by a doctor or other health professional.
