For sample adults in 2007 who had taken one or more vitamin supplements during the past 30 days (VITMOSUPNO) and had taken the first vitamin supplement to treat or cure a specific health problem or condition (VIT1TREAT), VIT1TCONNO is a summary variable reporting the number of health conditions the respondent had treated by taking a first vitamin supplement.

For respondents who had taken a second vitamin supplement (VITMOSUPNO) to treat a specific health problem (VIT2TREAT), parallel information was collected on the number of health conditions the respondent had treated by taking that second vitamin supplement (VIT2TCONNO).
