Description

For sample persons age 18+ who indicated that they would participate in a Public Health Service AIDS virus blood test survey, PHSKNORES indicates whether the respondent would want to know the results of the blood test.

Comparability

PHSKNORES was administered in 1987 during the 5th week of Quarter 3 and Quarter 4. There are no comparability issues for this variable. As always, data users should use the prescribed IPUMS NHIS weights.

Universe

  • 1987: Sample persons age 18+ in quarter 3 (5th week) and quarter 4 who would participate in PHS study or who responded "other" when asked if they would participate in PHS study.
