Respondents who acknowledged having difficulty communicating (LACOMDIFEGO) or being understood (LACOMDIFOTHS) reported whether the reason for the problem was because they have trouble hearing.
This item was collected for sample adults who completed the Quality of Life supplement (administered to approximately a quarter of sample adults).
Universe
- 2010: One quarter of sample adults, included in quality of life supplement (and excluded from family disability supplement), who have some difficulty, a lot of difficulty, or cannot communicate, or have some difficulty, a lot of difficulty or cannot be understood when speaking.
