For sample persons age 20 and older in the second half of 1975, EXGOLFPAR indicates whether the person had participated in golf in the past 12 months.
Golf was one of 15 sports (including one residual "other" category) that respondents were asked about in the 1975 NHIS. Those who responded "Yes" to EXGOLFPAR were asked whether they had participated in golf as part of a team (EXGOLFTEM) and whether they had participated in golf tournaments either as an individual or as a member of a team (EXGOLFTOR) during the past 12 months.
