Description
For sample persons over age 40 who have ever heard of a blood stool test, have had a blood stool test in the past three years, and whose reason for the last test was because of a specific health problem, BSTYLPAIN reports that pain was the specific health problem for the test. Respondents could indicate more than one problem as the reason for the test. Related variables are listed below.

- 1987: Half of sample persons age 40+ (excluded from CAEP supplement) who have heard of blood stool test and have had a blood stool test in the past 3 years because of a health problem.
- 1992: Half of sample persons persons age 40+ in quarters 1 and 2 and 2 weeks of quarter 3 (excluded from CAEP supplement) who have heard of a blood stool test and have had a blood stool test in the past three years because of a specific health problem.
