For sample persons age 18 and older, AIDEDRADGEN indicates if, in the past month, the person received information about AIDS from the radio.

Comparability

The response categories for this variable changed slightly over time. In 1991, the response category was "radio". In 1992 and 1993, the response category was "radio programs".

Changes in survey design (e.g., quarters in which the supplement was collected) may affect raw frequencies, but do not affect comparability of the variable. As always, data users should use the prescribed IHIS weights.
