Description
For persons ages 15 and older, WSLRELDENTIM reports the amount of time that a person missed from work or school assisting a relative or friend with a dental problem or dental visit during the past two weeks. Time is recorded in hours or days.
WSLRELDENTIM was introduced in 1989 as part of a series of variables used to determine whether an illness or injury has caused persons to restrict their usual activities during the two-week reference period. For related variables and more information about the Dental Health Supplement please use the search function and IPUMS NHIS drop-down menus, or see DENCOND.
