Description
For persons age 2 and older, WSLOWNDEN indicates whether the person missed any time from work or school because of a dental problem or dental visit during the past two weeks.
The amount of time that the person missed from work or school due to assisting others is recorded in WSLOWNDENTIM. WSLOWNDEN was introduced in 1989 as part of a series of variables used to determine whether an illness or injury has caused persons to restrict their usual activities during the two-week reference period. For related variables and more information about the Dental Health Supplement please use the search function and IPUMS NHIS drop-down menus, or see DENCOND.
