Description
For sample adults ages 18 and older who received treatment/rehabilitative services for a swallowing problem in the past 12 months, VSLSWPROF reports whether some other health professional (beyond those listed in the survey response categories) provided the treatment. Health professionals listed in the survey include speech-language pathologist, family physician/general practitioner/osteopath, rehabilitation specialist, otolaryngologist (ear, nose, and throat doctor), audiologist/hearing specialist/hearing aid technician, specialty doctor, nutritionist or dietician, psychiatrist or psychologist, nurse or nurse practitioner, and dentist/orthodontist/oral surgeon.
