For sample adults ages 18 and older who had a language problem in the past 12 months that lasted for at least a week, VSLLGTX reports whether the person received treatments, therapy, or other rehabilitation services for problems using or understanding words or sentences in the past year.
VSLLGTX is part of the Adult Voice, Speech and Language Supplement. For related variables and more information, please use the IPUMS NHIS search function and drop-down menus, or see VSLDIAG, which reports on diagnosis, VSLVDAYS, which reports on the problem duration and extent, and VSLVSLPYR, which reports on treatment.
