For sample adults ages 18 and older who have ever had a diagnosis for a language problem that lasted a week or longer, VSLLGOTHER reports whether the respondent's problem understanding words or sentences was caused by something other than the reasons listed. Response categories included in the survey include hearing loss or deafness, a genetic syndrome, intellectual disability, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Developmental Language-Learning disorder, other developmental delay, head injury or traumatic brain injury, stroke or aphasia, dementia or another neurological cause, and prescription medication or drugs.
