Description

For sample persons ages 55 and older (1984) or sample adults (2022-forward), VOLWORKYR reports if the person did any volunteer work for any organized groups in the past 12 months.

Related Volunteer Activities Variables:

  • VOLOTHER: Has done other volunteering work, past 12 months.

Comparability

Apart from changes in universe, VOLWORKYR is fully comparable over time. Although, users should note that, prior to the 2022 sample, the last time this variable was available was for the 1984 sample.
