For sample adults and sample children between the ages of 4 and 17 in 2012, VITPAIDL reports the approximate cost the respondent paid for their last purchase of vitamins or minerals.
Additional information about the use of vitamins and minerals was collected for respondents who reported using vitamins and minerals in the past 12 months, including variables on frequency and cost of use. Please use the IPUMS NHIS drop-down menus and search function to explore these variables.
Universe
- 2012: Sample adults age 18+ and sample children of ages 4-17 who have purchased vitamins or minerals in the past year a specific number of times or who don't know the number of times.
