Description
For sample children ages 6 to 17 years who wear eyeglasses or contact lenses, VDIFREADYN indicates whether the child wears glasses or contacts to "read books, write, play hand-held games, or do other things that require [child] to see well up close."
This variable is included in the Sample Child Vision Supplement, sponsored by the National Eye Institute.
