Description
For persons ages 18 and older with confirmed diabetes who are now taking insulin, URCHKOFTTP reports the time unit for how often this person checks his or her urine for glucose or sugar, including times when a family member of friend checks. URCHKOFTTP should be combined with the number of times per day, week, month or year (URCHKOFTNO) for the complete frequency with which this person checks his or her urine for sugar.
This variable is included in the 1989 Diabetes supplement. For related variables, please use the IPUMS NHIS search function and drop-down menus.
