Description

For all sample persons age 12 to 21, this variable reports whether the respondent thinks he or she will try smoking during next 12 months.

 

This variable was part of a Youth Behavior Survey (YBS) conducted several months after the NHIS. The Survey described that the YBS was conducted to gather information on the status of both good and bad health behaviors in order to develop programs to improve the health of young people.
