Description

For persons who have not lost all of their teeth and who use toothpaste, TPASTEDESEN records whether the brand of toothpaste the person used most often in the past two weeks is marketed for desensitizing teeth.

Persons who reported using toothpaste to brush their teeth were asked to name the brand of toothpaste that they used. The brands were subsequently coded based on their marketing and whether they met American Dental Association (ADA) standards for desensitizing teeth.
