Description
For all households, TELEPHONE indicates if there is at least one telephone that is currently working inside the house. From 2003 to 2018, the question explicitly excludes cell phones.
Starting in 2021, more detail was made available on the cell phone and landline status of the sample person. This includes if a cell phone and/or a landline is available to the sample person.
Comparability
From 2003-2018, the survey question explicitly indicates that cell phones should NOT be included when answering.
