Description
For sample adults aged 18 and over and sample children aged 4-17 who reported using at least one top complementary or alternative medicine (CAM) therapy and use the first CAM therapy to treat specific health conditions, SURG1 reports if the person received surgery for the most important health condition treated by the first top CAM therapy. SURG1 can be paired with CAMTHER1, which reports the corresponding CAM therapy that to treat the most important health condition.

Universe
- : Sample adults age 18+ and children aged 4-17 who have used the first of the top three CAM therapies and used therapy/saw practitioner of therapy for a specific health problem or condition.
