Description
For sample persons aged 18 and older are not currently working but have worked in the past 12 months, STOPWKOTH reports if the person stopped working because of any other reasons that were not mentioned in the survey. This variable was included in the 1988 Occupational Health supplement.
Reasons why the person stopped working that were mentioned in the survey include: family or child care (STOPWKF), job-related health problem (STOPWKHPJ), non-job-related health problem (STOPWKHPNJ), lay-off (STOPWKLO), and retirement (STOPWKR).
