Description

For all persons authorized to receive Food Stamp benefits during the previous calendar year from 1997 to 2010, and for all persons in families that received Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits during the previous calendar year beginning in 2011, STAMPMO reports the approximate number of months the person or family was eligible for Food Stamp/SNAP benefits during the previous calendar year.

Comparability

The universe change between 2010 and 2011 limits comparability of samples from before and after the change. There are no additional comparability issues for samples with the same universe.
