Description

For sample persons age 18 and over who are current smokers, SMOKEPROB reports if the person thinks it is unlikely, somewhat likely, or very likely that he or she will have serious health problems from smoking if he or she continues to smoke.

Comparability

There are no comparability issues.

Universe

  • 1992: Half of sample persons age 18+ in quarters 1 and 2, and in 2 weeks of quarter 3 (excluded from CAEP supplement) who have smoked at least 100 cigarettes and who smoke now, or are some day smokers who have smoked at least once in the past 30 days, or are some day smokers for whom it was unknown if they had smoked at least once in the past 30 days.
