Description
For sample persons over age 18+ who ever smoked 100 cigarettes, this variable reports whether the person ever smoked cigarettes every day. This question was asked of respondents who did not report smoking every day at the same time a year prior to the interview (SMOKYRAGO, frequency smoking this time last year).
Related Variables
Respondents who answered affirmatively to SMOKDALYEVwere then asked how long has it been since they last smoked cigarettes every day (see SMOKDALYLNO) and the number cigarettes smoked per day when they last smoked every day (SMOKDALYCIGN).
Universe
- 1991: Sample persons age 18+ who ever smoked 100 cigarettes and currently smoke some days or do not currently smoke at all and who did not smoke every day in the last year (or for whom it was unknown if they smoked every day in the last year).
