Description

For persons under age 18 with smoke detectors installed in the home, SMOKALWKNOCH1 reports the number of working smoke detectors in the home. The answer provided by the household sample adult was applied to the person record for any children under age 18 in the household. This data is also available with a different top code in SMOKALWKNOCH2, which groups all responses at or above 10 smoke detectors.
