Description

For persons under age 18 with one or more working smoke detectors in the home, SMOKALSLEEPCH reports whether any smoke detector is located next to a sleeping area. Both working and nonworking smoke detectors are counted. The answer provided by the household sample adult was applied to the person record for any children under age 18 in the household.
