Description

For sample adults ages 25 and over who have at least one child aged 10 to 17, SEXEDREL indicates whether the respondent reported that any of her/his children aged 10 to 17 ever received instruction about human sexuality through a youth or religious program.

SEXEDREL is part of the NHIS Prevention Supplement. For related variables and more information, please use the IPUMS NHIS search function and drop-down menus.

Comparability

There are no comparability issues. Changes in survey design (e.g., quarters in which the supplement was collected) may affect raw frequencies, but do not affect comparability of the variable. As always, data users should use the prescribed IHIS weights.
