Description

For sample adults ages 25 and over who have at least one child aged 10 to 17, SEXEDHOME indicates whether the respondent reported ever discussing human sexuality with any of her/his children aged 10 to 17.

SEXEDHOME is part of the NHIS Prevention Supplement. For related variables and more information, please use the IPUMS NHIS search function and drop-down menus.

Comparability

There are no comparability issues. Changes in survey design (e.g., quarters in which the supplement was collected) may affect raw frequencies, but do not affect comparability of the variable. As always, data users should use the prescribed IHIS weights.
