SEALANTGOT indicates whether a person has dental sealants painted on their teeth. Dental sealants are plastic coatings which are pained on the tops of back teeth to prevent dental decay.

Comparability

Before 1998, this question is asked about persons who have not lost all of their teeth. Subsequently, the question universe is restricted to sample children under 18.
