Description

For sample persons age 18 and over, SBELTB reports how often the person wore a seatbelt when riding in the back seat of a car.

SBELTB was first asked of adults in the 1991 Supplement which covered general health habits and preventive behaviors, including awareness of injury prevention. The data were gathered partly to monitor the "Year 2000 Objectives of the Nation." For related variables and more information about this supplement, please use the IPUMS NHIS search function and drop-down menus.
