Description

For sample persons age 40 and over who have heard of a proctoscopic exam and have had a proctoscopic exam, PROCEXMO reports the month when the person had his or her last proctoscopic exam.

Comparability

There are no comparability issues. Changes in survey design (e.g., quarters in which the supplement was collected) may affect raw frequencies. As always, data users should use the prescribed IHIS weights.

Universe

  • 1987: Half of sample persons age 40+ (excluded from CAEP supplement) who have heard of proctoscopic exam and have had a proctoscopic exam.
  • 1992: Half of sample persons age 40+ in quarters 1 and 2 and in 2 weeks of quarter 3 (excluded from CAEP supplement) who have heard of a proctoscopic exam and have had a proctoscopic exam.
