Description
For persons with at least one reported foot problem during the past 12 months, who still have the problem and who got medical care for their foot problem in the past 12 months from a health care professional other than a podiatrist, an orthopedic specialist or surgeon, an osteopath, or a physical therapist, PODTRPROFV reports the number of times the person saw the second "other" type of health care professional for his or her foot problem.
PODTRPROFV2 was introduced in 1990 as part of the NHIS Podiatry Supplement. The purpose of this supplement is to obtain current data concerning problems with the feet, access to foot care, and the amount, frequency, and type of foot care obtained. - 1990: Persons with at least one reported foot problem during the past 12 months, who still have the problem, who considered getting professional care for the problem, who got medical care for the foot problems in the past 12 months, and who saw some other type of medical professional for such care.
