Description
For persons with at least one reported problem during the past 12 months, PODPROB1TP indicates the time unit of the duration of the person's first reported foot problem. This variable should be used in conjunction with PODPROB1NO, which indicates the number of units.
PODPROB1TP is part of the NHIS Podiatry Supplement, introduced in 1990. The purpose of this supplement is to obtain current data concerning problems with the feet, access to foot care, and the amount, frequency, and type of foot care obtained.
