Description

For persons with at least one reported foot problem during the past 12 months, who still have the problem, and who considered getting professional care for this problem, PODCAREYR indicates whether or not the person got medical treatment for his or her foot problem or problems during the past 12 months.

PODCAREYR was introduced in 1990 as part of the NHIS Podiatry Supplement. The purpose of this supplement is to obtain current data concerning problems with the feet, access to foot care, and the amount, frequency, and type of foot care obtained.
