Description

For sample adults who took pain medication at least 3 times a week (PMED), PMED3MO indicates whether the person had taken such medications regularly over the past 3 months.

Persons with an affirmative response in PMED3MO were asked the names of the pain medications they took. For 12 common pain medications listed on a flash card shared with respondents (plus a residual "other" category), dichotomous variables indicate whether the person mentioned that specific medication (see PMED for details).
